Basics Outline of Studies

Here is the pattern chosen for the Bible studies. Note that there might be more than one study per topic.

A. Assurance of Salvation (How to Know Christ Is in Your Life)

Students understand that Christ has come into their lives and that they can have assurance that Christ will never leave them.

B. Salvation Significance (The Way We Were vs. the Way We Are)

Students understand in greater detail the scope and significance of what occurred when they invited Christ into their lives which hopefully will produce a deeper commitment and a great motivation for them to go on in their walk with Christ.

C. Understanding Sin (Experiencing God's Love and Forgiveness)

Student understand the significance of their sin and God's love and forgiveness.

D. Holy Spirit (The Holy Spirit? What Does He Do? and Living like a Christian)

Here students gain a basic understanding of and begin to apply the ministry of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

E. Identity in Christ (Your Identity in Christ)

Students are given a basic understanding of their new identity in Christ and the struggle that exists between their old nature and their new nature.

F. Basic Growth Principles (The Wheel Illustration and Growing as a Christian)

These two studies deal with basic growth principles and disciplines, as well as making students aware of the beneficial influences of time, adversity, and the sovereignty of God as they relate to spiritual growth.

G. The Word (Just the Facts, Please! and Word/Hand Illustration)

These two studies give students a basic understanding of what the Bible is, how to begin reading it, and the importance of studying and meditating on the scriptures.

H. Fellowship (Fellowship Time with Christians)

Students learn the importance of Christian fellowship and are encouraged to begin attending Christian functions.

I. Prayer (Prayer - Talking with God)

Encouraging students how to pray, what to pray, and what to expect from God when they pray.

J. Witnessing (Tell It Like This!)

This study contains a motivation to share their faith, how to begin sharing their faith, and encourages students to identify people they can target for evangelism.

K. Spiritual Warfare (Dealing with Difficulties and Running and Resisting)

These two studies deal with overcoming and identifying problem areas for Christians such as the world, temptation, and the devil.

L. Time Management (Making the Most of Your Time)

Encourages students to learn how to set priorities and goals in order to properly schedule their time to achieve their priorities and goals.

M. Vision (God's View for Your Life and God's Plan for Your Life )

Students gain a basic understanding of how God views the world, how God wants to use them, and how they need to live accordingly.

N. The Church (What's the BIG Deal?) 

Students gain a basic Biblical view of the church and why they should be involved.
